Today gave me a reason to live!

“I feel great and important. It boosted my self-esteem and I’m overwhelmed by the generosity of the gifts and the lovely people helping us.

I feel very special and important.

I could recommend it to other survivors.

I loved the interaction we shared.

It introduced me to some wonderful products.

All the volunteers are helpful and they explain things clearly.

Today gave me a reason to live”

Opportunity For The Female Cancer Sisterhood To Thrive

“Look Good…Feel Better is a wonderful opportunity for the female cancer sisterhood to thrive towards success, & through camaraderie & understanding provides a foundation for living with a life-threatening disease. To ‘look good’ really makes you ‘feel better’ when you are battling a disease that challenges the very essence of your femininity”.

Lynette Maduri

This workshop gave me hope to continue

“This workshop gave me hope to continue with life because my improved self-image has given me the courage to face anything. You can stand for anything if you ‘look good and feel good”.

Mokgadi Leboho

Feeling Like A Princess

“With 6 weeks before my wedding and bald, I never thought I would feel like a princess on my big day, but being pampered at the Look Good…Feel Better workshop,  I realized that I could still look great! The volunteers were empathetic and their fun, bubbly personalities made the day upbeat!”

Fiona Thatcher

Looking Like A Million Bucks!

“It was great to walk out of the workshop looking like a million bucks and receiving all those great gifts was just the ‘bests’ ever!”

Lella Cullingworth

Confident & Beautiful

“I feel confident and beautiful and feel I can now accept I have cancer and have the courage to fight it. The makeover took my mind off my illness.”

Hazel Mthembu

This Has Given My Sense Of Beauty Back

“As a woman having had a mastectomy you somehow lost that feeling of being beautiful and this has started to give me that sense of beauty back.”

Restores Patient Self-Esteem & Confidence

Sr. Gael Macbeth is enthusiastically in favor of the LG…FB program. She says that all patients seem to hit a slump during their treatment but after they have attended a workshop they come to the clinic wearing makeup and they have got back their self-esteem and confidence. “ It makes a big difference to our patients.

Spirits Lifting In Front Of Me

Seldom Sees Patients Without Make-up

Dr. Linda van Zyl says she seldom sees her patients without makeup after they have attended a workshop and there is a subtle change in their attitude and how they feel about themselves.

” The type of program promoted by Look Good… Feel Better derives value because it is driven by the donations and sponsorship of the cosmetic industry but the value it gives our patients; they will carry for the rest of their lives,”

Dr. Linda van Zyl
