About the Workshops

Product Neutral

The Look Good…Feel Better programme is entirely product neutral with no cosmetic products, range or manufacturer being promoted. Each workshop participant receives a gift of skin care and make up products to suit her complexion colour.

Specially trained beauty therapists and volunteer helpers take women undergoing cancer treatment through the 12 step skincare and make-up regime teaching them in a relaxed, fun and hands on way techniques to help them deal with changes in skin, hair, eyebrow and eyelash loss and general appearance related concerns.

They laugh and chat while enjoying the support and comfort of being together with others who are going through similar experiences.

Non Medical

The programme is non-medical. It does not interfere with medical treatment, make any medical claims or give any medical advice.

“It is a wonderful experience to witness a workshop as it is not just the physical transformation that is remarkable but the emotional awakening as the women share their experiences and realise that they belong to a unique sisterhood,” says Programme Director, Margaret Hewson.

Workshops are free to all patients in active cancer treatment

Health professionals firmly believe in the power of the “feel good” factor. Research done in America on the LGFB programme is available.
