Cosmetic Efficacy Laboratory - CEL is a clinical testing facility for the substantiation of dams of efficacy associated with cosmetic products.

Quality policy The management and well-trained staff of CEL are committed to deliver quality service and reliable results facilitated by a documented quality system consistent with good clinical practices and guided by applicable cosmetics regulatory requirements (CTFA, COLIPA and EEMCO).
CEL is an independent clinical cosmetics testing laboratory managed within the Centre for Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Services section at North-West University. The laboratory is environmentally controlled and possesses state-of-the-art non-invasive electronic measuring equipment for the evaluation of skin parameters related to cosmetics efficacy.
